One-Day or Two-Day courses for 4WD Training meet the needs of most clients. In addition to these options, Master Drive Services Ltd can develop courses to meet specific needs.
1 Day Course
Our one-day course begins with a brief theory lesson covering the basic principles of cross country driving.
Practical work includes:
Driving on low friction surfaces
Negotiating uneven terrain
Recovery from stall on a hill
Ascents
Descents
Sidling
Water crossings (depending on the venue)
Maximum numbers for one instructor are normally six drivers with at least three vehicles supplied by the client.
2 Day Course
Our two-day course is Unit Standard based and may qualify for Industry Training Organisation subsidies. More than half the course time is spent in practical training. Practical work covers the same range as the one-day course and may also include basic recovery techniques.
Maximum numbers for one instructor are six drivers with at least three vehicles and basic recovery equipment supplied by the client.
